It is true that a positive and hopeful outlook on life, and the events that come your way, garner more attraction for those things you desire. Yet, when we think of having positive thoughts, we often keep it surface level in that we think telling ourselves things will be okay is enough. It is not. Positive thinking, when implemented at the surface level of the psych, does nothing for your growth and attraction of positive things in your life.

The Law of Attraction is so much more than your thoughts. It comes from the beliefs that dwell in your subconscious.
In order to harness the true power of positive thinking, you must flip your life from a glass half empty to glass half full perspective. You must alter the essence of who you have become and go back to who you were before you experienced pain, trauma, and fear.
From the beginning...
When you look at a baby or a toddler, you see their essence right before your eyes as hopeful, exploratory, fearless, and happy. We all were once these little walking lights of optimism. And throughout the course of our life - childhood, teenager, young adult - what we experienced began to shape a different outlook.
It seems as though a human can go one of two ways through these traumatic experiences. The first, would be going through the stages of grief and acceptance, and coming out with their optimism still intact. This person has been enlightened enough to understand that their circumstances, or anything that happened in the past, has no truth in the future. Meaning, they do not go around thinking the worst is going to happen all of the time, even if it happened to them once or twice. They understand that life is always working for them, and can be optimistic because they know the possibilities are endless.
The second is the person who lives in fear because of their past. When life happens, the littlest of triggers or the biggest unfortunate events, they let their mind spiral into the realm of monsters and fantasy. No truth is rooted in the depths of fear-based thinking. It is all fantasy, and yet they allow this to become truth before their eyes. Thus, they walk through life convinced that negative things will occur and the first reaction to any trigger is convincing themselves that it will get worse...playing out horrible scenarios that cause stress, anxiety, and depression.
Yes, there are possibilities that the worst things can happen, but there are the same number of possibilities that the best things can happen. To succumb to only the worst of any outcome is negligent and irresponsible. This is why teachers in the spiritual realm urge you and I to stay present and not even think of possible outcomes or probabilities of life on any level. The fear of those negative possibilities can be too much for most humans since their minds cling to fear and feed on it.
That is why we must do everything we can to keep fear in its place. If that means staying present and not thinking of tomorrow or yesterday, then so be it.
But I much rather prefer us to work on our past traumas and experiences by facing them, accepting them, integrating them into our lives (for they are a part of our lives and will always be) and understanding they do not define our future so that we may see the future for what it truly is: a vast, open plane littered with possibilities.
As you stand looking out at this field, all the circumstances swirling ahead, you have the power to choose those that come your way. Picture yourself standing still as opportunities swirl around you. You see the possibility of getting a wonderful job out in the distance. You do not know what it all entails, but from its energy, you can tell it is good for you. To attract such a possibility, you focus on it and let everything else fall to the wayside.
This positive possibility then moves toward you and all the swirling that were once other possibilities begin to aid the meeting of you two. Will negative possibilities creep into your thoughts and try to break into your subconscious? YES! The mind does not want to be silenced and will do everything it can to be heard. But if you can thank the mind for reminding me of this other possibility, and yet choosing to still focus on the positive possibility, you continue to attract the positive. And when two things are attracted to one another, magnetism is a strong force that cannot be broken. And the only thing the universe can do is join in on the energy that has been created and aid in its manifestation.
Genuine optimism attracts good things to you. It must be genuine. It must be truly believed and realized. Otherwise, you cannot fool the universe. Energy does not lie. You can say and think one thing, but if your subconscious does not truly believe it, it will not emit such an energy out into the universe. Working on oneself and working through trauma are the ways in which you can change your perspective and become an optimist once again. That is where subconscious change comes from, and that is the place in which we attract and manifest.
Optimists live the fullest life. They choose to see the world’s beauty. They are not ignorant of the ugliness and darkness, they simply choose to not give it time and energy. They know it’s there. They experience it on a daily basis through other people’s pain and perspectives, through the sadness displayed on tv screens and news. But they do not soak in that which isn’t theirs. On the conscious level, they live content happy lives. And because of that, their subconscious attracts good things. At this point, attraction and manifestation are the cherry on top. You didn’t ask for it, but in obtaining the sundae, you also got the cherry and the sprinkles along with it. Manifestations come naturally to optimistic people, yet those people are not focused on the material plane. They focus inward and thus, outwardly experience life enlightened and unafraid.
Every story is different. Even in your life. Each new chapter is different from everyone that came before it. No same two things can be repeated - it is not possible in terms of energetic molecules and circumstance. There are too many factors - millions and trillions - that play a part in each happening. Find solace in this. Find hope in this. Can things be worse? Sure. How worse? I don’t know. Nor do I really care. Why focus on that which is not rooted in truth? Why give any time and energy to something that is not real? Wait for the real thing to occur. Wait. God does not throw anything at us that we cannot handle. You can handle anything that comes your way. And because of that, do not fear the unknown future. There is nothing to fear. It is all for you.
It is all FOR you.
