Are you finding yourself stressed about what to do next? Do you feel like you aren’t being productive, or your lack of clarity is a problem?

Our society runs on getting stuff done. It tells us we are only worthy if we are working our asses off and doing everything we can to make money and grow.

What society doesn’t tell you, is that your worth is not dependent on these things, and sometimes, taking a break is exactly what will propel us forward in some cases.

A few months ago, I was reeling over how I should move forward in my business and my career. I felt like I was wasting time because I didn’t know what I wanted to do next, and because of that, I was hesitant to do anything. This caused me even more stress and anxiety.

Until finally, I gave myself permission to just rest. My tarot pulls were telling me to focus on being a mom, focus on my job, focus on my friends. So I put my business and spiritual work aside and did just that.

Last week, after a few months of spiritual time off, I had a few revelations about where I needed to go. I realized that my time away gave my head and my heart the space it needed to gain clarity. I noticed that in spending time with my friends and family, I became aware of my strengths and skills that need to be at the center of my business. This time I spent observing my physical world and being an active player in my life (rather than stressing about what to do next) was exactly what I needed.

Listen to your intuition. What is it telling you? Do you feel like you need to slow down? Trust that feeling, rather than leaning on what you “should” be doing. For when we go against our heart’s desires in order to appease others or feel worthy, we will not find the clarity we so desperately need. Our intuition is always guiding us, telling us what we need in order to be happy and live a fulfilling life. And sometimes, that means going against what is expected of you and what feels comfortable. That is where soul growth actually occurs.
